Renault has today unveiled its newest addition to the Pro+ LCV range, the Zoe Van. Based on the manufacturer’s passenger car, the new small-sized van offers another choice to commercial vehicle buyers looking to switch to a more sustainable, greener solution.
Under the hood, the Zoe Van is very much similar to its passenger equivalent: the car has a 245-mile WLTP range (based on a half payload and a 75kg driver), which is thanks to its 52kWh battery and an 80kW R110 motor that dispatches 62mph from a standstill in 11.4 seconds.

As for recharging, the Zoe Van has the option of 50kW DC charging on both trim levels, meaning it can get to 80% charge in one hour and ten minutes. A quick 30-minute blast of charge will result in a 90-mile range via the DC charger.
The charging inlet is accessed behind the Renault badge on the front of the vehicle. As standard, the Zoe Van comes with type-2 charging cable, this allows 100% charge in three hours using a 22kW public charger.
More importantly, is the vehicle’s load space. Renault has removed the rear seats of the passenger car and replaced it with a flat load floor. A mesh bulkhead behind the front seats ensures the load area is safe, while the rear doors enable access via the side of the vehicle.

As a result, a total load volume of one cubic metre is on offer; the van has 1,205mm of length in the load bay and maximum load width of 1,110mm. Maximum payload is rated at up to 387kg. Rubber flooring is present in the load area with four anchorage points on the floor.
Access via the boot is made easy thanks to a level boot floor and minimal loading lip. The existing parcel shelf remains which aids security but is easily removed to make room for bulkier items.
For added security, the rear windows are disabled and covered in an opaque film, while a load area cover protects valuable items being on show. The van has also been fitted with a Thatcham approved Category 1 alarm as standard.

There are two trim levels available on the new Zoe Van, Business and Business+. Both offer a comprehensive level of standard equipment, with the opportunity to build on this with key options available at extra cost – including DC charging cables for faster charging.

As standard, the van comes with a 10″ TFT instrument cluster, while at the centre of the cabin, a 7″ Easy Link touchscreen display – which supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto – makes up the infotainment system. This can be upgraded to a 9.3″ portrait-oriented display through the optional ‘Technology Pack’, instead. The latter option also adds front and rear parking sensors and a rear-view camera. Elsewhere, the ‘Winter Pack’ adds heated seats and a heated steering wheel.

For fleet customers, a Telematic Control Unit (TCU) is available for fleet asset management, optionally available on both Business and Business+ trims.
When it comes to longevity, the Zoe Van boasts a five-year, 100,000-mile warranty. The first two years feature unlimited mileage restrictions, while the remaining three have a 100,000-mile limit.
In addition, the Z.E. 50 battery receives an eight-year, 100,000-mile warranty. Service intervals for the Zoe Van are every 12 months or 18,000 miles, whichever comes sooner.
